Why Aren’t Old Episodes Of ‘Young And The Restless’ On Paramount+?
Viewers have noticed that old episodes of The Young And The Restless aren’t on Paramount+. For some reason, if you log in there are only three episodes there now. You can watch the episodes from the last three days only. Anything older than that is missing from the streaming site.
What Episodes Of YR Are On Paramount+?
Right now, The Young And The Restless is in Season 51. If you go to Paramount+, you can watch the last three episodes of this season. It is the ones that aired on October 3, 4 and 5. That is all that is on there. If you missed older episodes, you will not be able to catch up. A lot of fans are further behind than that and are upset that they can’t watch the older episodes anymore.
What Happened To The Young And The Restless Episodes?
So where did the older episodes go? That is a bit of a mystery, but according to Soap She Knows message board it appears that since this is a new season they don’t have the rights to air the old season anymore. One fan shared that they found this on the Paramount+ Facebook page, but we were unable to find the post stating this on their Facebook. It sounds like it was a reply to someone asking what happened to the old episodes.

Fans Are Upset
A lot of fans are upset over this and say they are going to cancel their subscription. Here are what some of them had to say:
- No, it streams pretty far back. Hulu only streams the latest season. I’ve been binging September and had 2 weeks left. Now it’s dissapeared. I’m canceling Paramount if this is what they are going to do.
- I always watched it every night on Paramount Plus and I have had stuff going on and haven’t watched for 3 weeks. Tried to start catching up yesterday and can’t see anything prior to today! So irritated – I pay for P+ just for y&r and b&b. Where else can I watch?
- Y&R is on Hulu? I’m going to have to check this out. If this is the case, bye, bye, Paramount.

I always loved Paramount+ for my B&B and Y&R episodes, but to tune in to catch up on the last 2 weeks of September only to find them GONE, I was furious!!! No notice, no explanation, just entire seasons gone!! If this is their new policy, I WILL be cancelling my subscription! Shame on Paramount+!!!!
I’m going to cancel also. The only reason I have paramount was to watch back episodes. So bye bye.
I just chatted with CBS Paramount +and they told me “the Young and Restless was removed from Paramount+ as of the moment due to streaming rights. They have assured me that they are passing all of the contacts to their management so the know they have customers like me who are really looking forward to watching it through Paramount+.”
This is total BS.
Why would Paramount not want us to watch the #1 show: Young and Restless? 3 episodes back does not help many of us who often enjoy catching up the entire week on the weekend. We work or travel etc. It was the only reason I had a subscription to Paramount Plus. The network spends an enormous amount of money on putting on an excellent show every day….now they don’t want the fans to see older episodes. What brainiac came up with this? Fix it…I give it a week and I’m cancelling along with a lot of other fans.
I feel the same, been recording soap operas since VCR’s and enjoyed binge watching on the weekends. Might have to consider cable tv again.
I also was 3 weeks behind because life happens. Got on today to catch up & was very upset to see could only go back to Oct 3rd. So now I’m lost as to what’s going on. Why wouldn’t paramount plus have access since they are airing cbs shows. Doesn’t make any sense & is very irritating.
I ‘m also very upset. I’m way behind all the way back to July 12th, my husband was seriously ill recently and I was not watching it. He is better now and I so want to catch up. I had planned on binge watching it and now I can’t . I also will be cancelling Paramount Plus, if this isn’t fixed.
Trying to watch last Friday 9/29/2023 of the young & restless & it is not out there – only this weeks – only reason I have paramount+ or I’m with everyone else to cancel it !!!!???
This is so disappointing. Instead of giving my cable company money for dvr to record Young and the restless I chose to give it to Paramount+ and then I lose all the shows from september because I was behind and thought it was no big deal I would catch up 🙁 thanks for the warning…other streaming networks tell you ahead that it will be taking a show off; you chose not to tell us anything 🙁
So upsetting I was 2 months behind and Paramount+ is saying the owners of Y & R took them off due to streaming rights. It doesn’t seem fair!!!!
I travel alot for work and tend to watch a few weeks at a time of Y&R. That is about the only reason I pay for the service. I was a few weeks behind and logged in to find the episodes gone. If I can watch through other means…I plan to cancel. Y&R has been a staple since my childhood. Disappointing to pay for a service that gets discontinued without any notice to the customers.
This is just like the soap channel on Pluto. They had the Bold and the Beautiful on there, but kept showing the same season about 10 times in a row. Then, it disappeared completely. Now, it is back but guess what season they are showing…
This is very unfair that we pay for a subscription, yet we have to stop watching our favorite program because you are withholding Season 50. If not rectified, will be canceling my subscription.

This is bogus… WTH…Why can’t we see the previous episodes of the Y &R…You can see all of the episodes from the Bold and the Beautiful..so what is Y&R’s problem… do doubt it’s about money…it always is… I’m canceling Paramount…the Y & R was the ONLY reason I paid premium..this is total B. S. for CBS…
The only reason I subscribe to Paramount* is for Young and Restless. Seems that once u took our money for subscription increase u then take away the prior episodes.
I will give u this month and if this isn’t rectified I will be cancelling. This is poor business and like other I am not a satisfied customer.
I too only subscribe to P+ for Y&R. Went in to catch up and season 51 is GONE!!! WTH??? Try to find where to watch online and everywhere tells you to go to P+ that Season 51 is available there…………………..NOT!! If I can get it on Hulu….bye bye P+ You are of no use to any of us dedicated fans.
I was several months behind, logged on to catch up and… GONE! Y&R and B&B are the main reason I have Paramount +. Not certain if I will cancel or not! Very unhappy.
