‘Teen Mom’ Did Amber Portwood QUIT Show?
Did Teen Mom star Amber Portwood quit the show after months of speculation that she was departing? She has been through so much on the series since but has she finally had enough? What is Amber Portwood’s current status with Teen Mom after being an original cast member? The mother to teenager, Leah with Gary Shirley started her journey on 16 & Pregnant. Along with Shirley, the two tried to make it work with him even proposing to his teenage love. Unfortunately, they could not stick it out and ended up calling it quits. He moved on with a woman named Kristina and they started a family of their own. At the same time, Amber struggled with addiction and mental health plus she served over a year behind bars.
Then, she welcomed a son, James, with her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon but ended up losing custody of him. Glennon was able to move with James to California which has been a struggle for Portwood. She was not there for Leah as she was growing up and now she is missing out once again. With all that Amber has been through, is it time for a break? According to The Sun, the mother of two shared a cryptic post that has led fans to believe she is officially done with the show.

Prior to the season finale of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Amber took to her Instagram. She shared the preview for the two-hour finale and added the caption: “Time to close this life-changing chapter 💗 .” Of course, this immediately sparked the question of is she was closing the book on her time on the show. However, it could have simply just meant that she was closing the chapter on all she had been through during this season.

Amber Portwood’s fans and followers immediately reacted to this post with questions and comments about what she meant. “Please tell me you’re not leaving, I absolutely love watching you and you’re growth,” one wrote. Another added: “So your done fav 😔.” Of course, Amber faithfuls were sad that they did not get to see more of her this season. “Missed seeing your face this season Amber but I totally understand you needed some well deserved time off for a bit ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” one noted.
