Why Isn’t ‘General Hospital’ New Today October 4?
Today on October 4 there isn’t a new episode of General Hospital once again. Fans want to know what is going on. Yesterday they missed a new episode and instead, they aired a repeat. This was because of the MLB playoffs airing. That is the same thing that is going on today.
What Is Airing Today?
Today you get to watch a repeat of General Hospital from 2022. Then after that, they will be airing the Texas Rangers vs. the Tampa Bay Rays for the MLB playoffs. Because of the playoffs, they have decided to air repeats of GH. This means no new episodes once again today. Viewers are pretty upset over this and think that they should air sports on channels that are made for sports like ESPN.
On Twitter, General Hospital is sharing that they will be back with new episodes on Thursday, but it has been reported that this depends on if another game is needed or not.

Fans Upset Over Lack Of New General Hospital Episodes
The viewers went to Twitter to share how upset they are that there isn’t a new episode. Here is what they had to say in the comments.
- Direct TV said GH was going to b seen at 1pm instead of 2 . Well , guess what GH was not on & Tamara Hall was on. Although the episodes of GH were reruns. Miss my GH. Why couldn’t they run the episodes at night like they usually do?
- Thursday? What’s more important then GH?
- Either put sports on their channel or move #GH to the midnight slot to circumvent all these annoying, unnecessary preemptions.
- Why not announce at starting time (at least) that today is a rerun? And Wednesday, too?? Have some respect for viewers.
- In baseball… they play double headers in one day. Wish we could see Tuesday and Wednesday’s episode on Thursday
- GH should be available to stream. Just because of a game makes no sense.
- Thursday??? I heard Friday on our local news
As you can see there is still some confusion on if a new episode will air on Thursday or not. Fans are just going to have to wait and see what happens with the game today and if GH is new tomorrow or not.
