Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond took to her Instagram Stories recently to shock her 4.3M followers with a stunning, bold new hair color. What bold new color was she rocking? Keep reading for the details.
The Food Network Stars Hair Frequently Changes
The food blogger and cookbook author actually took to Instagram about four weeks ago to show off her hair. Tusseling it in her hands while sitting in a salon chair, it transitioned from an orange/yellow to more of a red/copper color.
Ree Drummond explained she’d been rockingorange/yellow tresses for a year now. And, she was ready for something new. Moreover, she also explained that being a ginger,the shade of her hair often changed overnight.
So the wonderful Amber set me on the straight and narrow again. I know it looks super bright right now, but here’s the thing about redheads. We’re like shooting stars. Unpredictable. Rare. Fleeting.”
Unfortunately, Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond was right. The red/copper color she wanted quickly faded over the next few weeks and she defaulted back to the orange/yellow shade. Ree Drummond, however, wasn’t giving up. She was ready for change. So, she went for something bolder and even more vibrant.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the food blogger noted that she was having a hard time with her hair color. The red/copper quickly faded back to the yellow/orange and she just wasn’t happy with it. Fortunately, she also shared an “after” photo. With a little help, she was able to fix it. Ree Drummond decided to go to drastic measures to get rid of that yellow/orange shade. So, she went with a deep, bold crimson red instead.
The cookbook author’s pale complexion paired well with the vibrant crimson-red color she selected for her new hair color.
Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond also shared a mirror selfie. In the selfie, she ditched her glasses. It was also a bit more of a full-body photo. It allowed her followers to get a good look at her beautiful, bold new hair.
Her Followers Reacted To Her Stunning New Hair
The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond did take to her Instagram profile 14 hours ago with a “QVC behind-the-scenes diary.” In the caption, she confirmed to those who missed her Instagram Stories update that she was rocking some new hair. She admitted it was a bit awkward that her hair did not match the color her hair was on her book cover.
In the comments, her followers had nothing but love for her new hair color. Many agreed it looked great with her pale complexion. Here’s some of what her followers said:
