There is no doubt that Lala Kent enjoys the finer things and has since she joined the show. Her ex-fiance, Randall Emmett showered her with lavish gifts. These included fancy cars, nice bags, shoes, etc. Now, she is a single mother of her daughter, Ocean, 2, with Emmett. She has her own beauty and clothing brand which has helped her live a great life. Kent has not hidden the fact that she underwent two plastic surgeries including a breast augmentation and an ear pinning. So, she does like to gift herself but she works hard for what she has.

Now, she is opening up about the absolute best gift she has ever given herself but what exactly was it? Lala Kent spoke to People and this is what she had to say: “Sobriety’s the best gift I’ve ever given to myself, and I can’t allow my daughter to ever see that version of me.” That is a huge deal and she admitted at the Season 7 reunion, after she and Randall got engaged, that she had to quit drinking.  She had tried to stop during Season 7 when her father passed, but it was really hard.

So, how does she stay sober? “I am approaching one day at a time, but I’m approaching five years of sobriety and my daughter’s 2½, so I stay sober obviously for me, because if you stay sober for someone else, that’s just a recipe for relapse,” she explained. Additionally, she noted: “But to think about the fact that my child is always going to see me in this form and never under the influence, you can’t put a price on that. I am very grateful I found sobriety when I did.”
