Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean Captain Sandy Yawn is preparing to marry long-time sweetheart Leah Schafer. Captain Sandy announced on her social media “It’s official! I asked Leah to marry me, and she said YESSSSS! We are engaged!” she advises us all to “stay tuned for the wedding”. According to US Weekly the pair went public with their relationship in 2019. Now four years later they are looking forward to their impending nuptials.

The Breakdown Of Sandy And Leah’s Relationship

Sandy Yawn and Leah Schafer first connected in 2018 after Leah sent her a message on social media congratulating her on her Bravo show Below Deck. Just a year later they revealed to the public their blossoming relationship. In September 2020 Leah moved to Colorado to be closer to the Below Deck star Sandy Yawn. In November 2020 Sandy gushed about her partner Leah Schaffer in an Instagram post. The post stated, “2 years ago I met this incredible soul, my true love. It’s so true couples that play together stay together. Yep this is Leah’s idea of fun, detoxing the skin with a charcoal mask!”.

In July 2021 the pair told Bravo they do see themselves walking down the aisle someday but “slow and steady wins the race”. In October 2022 the couple started their own podcast titled “Captain Sandy and Leah Rae Show”. Now in September 2023, we hear the announcement that Sandy Yawn and Leah Schaffer are soon to be married!

Everything We Know About The Wedding

According to Dexerto the exact date of the wedding has yet to be confirmed but Sandy Yawn and Leah Schaffer have hinted at February 2024 for their impending nuptials. In a recent interview, Captain Sandy and Leah stated that they are hoping to get married in the Florida Keys because this is where they spend a lot of their time. Captain Sandy said in that interview “September is her (Leah’s) birthday month and that’s when I proposed, so I said we should get married during my birthday month, in February. We want to do it in the Florida Keys, barefoot in the sand.” Either way family, friends, and fans alike will be looking forward to seeing the pair tie the knot! This wedding is one that everyone hopes they decide to film and share with fans.
