Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is praising Danielle Maltby’s post regarding her split from Michael Allio. The Bachelor in Paradise couple gave it their best shot but couldn’t make things work. Michael finally confirmed the split on Jason’s Trading Secrets podcast this past week. It took a few days but Danielle finally followed up with her side of things and it was not what fans saw coming.
Danielle spoke about how their breakup was not a mutual decision. She has been mourning the loss of what she believed was forever for several weeks now. In fact, Michael later clarified after Danielle’s posts that they split nearly 13 weeks ago.
After Danielle’s initial post about their breakup, Kaitlyn replied in a comment section about the split saying, “So proud of her. Not ok how it was handled.”

Danielle continued to share more about the breakup on her podcast. She shared that Michael actually broke things off with her the day after her egg retrieval procedure.
She also said that she was completely blindsided and didn’t see the split coming. Michael later went on to say that he took full responsibility for how things went down. He also noted that they had tried couples counseling prior to calling things off. In the end, they were not compatible.
Michael argued on social media that the reason behind their split was not that he was not ready for a relationship or commitment. He continued to insist they are just not compatible with one another.
He noted how amazing of a person Danielle is and how she poured everything she had into making their relationship work.
Danielle was extremely emotional in both of her posts and it’s obvious how much Michael and his son James meant to her.
