‘DWTS’ Alfonso Ribeiro Reveals Severe Head Injury
DWTS co-host Alfonso Ribeiro is revealing a serious head injury that literally just occurred. Though he was known for his quirky ways and dance moves on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, he has other sides to him. He recently opened up about them plus the dangers he has faced. DWTS Alfonso Ribeiro Reveals Severe Head Injury
Alfonso Ribeiro is known for his fun-loving and quirky persona. Now, he is one of the co-hosts on DWTS with former pro-dancer, Julianne Hough joining him for Season 32. He has conquered the world of dance after winning Season 19 of the hit reality dancing competition with Witney Carson. This was years after he made his Carlton dance infamous and one that would be copied for generations to come. Yet, along with acting and dancing, it turns out that Ribeiro is a huge baseball fan.
According to The Sun, this is something that he shared while on Live With Kelly and Mark. Alfonso Ribeiro was chatting with Mark Consuelos about the love of the game. Then, Alfonso shared that his family seems to get banged up a lot playing the beloved sport: “What’s interesting about baseball, I think it’s in our family to get hurt a lot. I got concussed last week.” However, the fact that the DWTS co-host was able to sit and have a coherent conversation as if nothing had happened was a shocker.
Kelly Ripa could not believe this had happened so Alfonso went into more detail. “I was standing off to the side, and I’m like putting someone’s number on my phone…AND BOOM!” He caught a baseball to the back of the head. It took him three days of trying to feel okay again. He did joke that he thinks his wife felt he was faking it in order to not have to do chores around the house. Yet, he was really in pain and struggling. Fortunately, he is okay now and will be ready to host the Season 32 premiere.
Will The Show Go On?
As of now, DWTS is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 26th. The performers include Ariana Madix, Mauricio Umansky, Tyson Beckford, Mira Sorvino, and more. However, Matt Walsh has already dropped out due to the strike. This could actually prevent the show from starting when it is supposed to. Anything can and will happen and it may very well be a last minute decision. Either way, Alfonso Ribeiro will be back and it is expected to be a great season.
