Noah Erb & Abigail Heringer’s Rocky Start To Romance
Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb finally got engaged last month, but it was a long and bumpy road to get there. The two first met on Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise. Heringer had just come off getting her heart broken on Season 25 of The Bachelor after rejection from Matt James.
Erb was a contestant on Season 16 of The Bachelorette, getting sent home during Week 7.
Sparks flew immediately for Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb on BIP. They quickly became fan favorites, with many fans rooting for them to get engaged at the end of the season. Instead, they broke up. But that wasn’t the end of the story.
After Season 7 finished airing, Erb and Heringer took to social media to reveal that they got back together during filming and were in a relationship. However, they said they planned to take their time and weren’t rushing into an engagement.
Shortly before their engagement, they welcomed a furry new family member, a German Shepherd Collie mix named Macchiato, aka Maki. They rescued the dog from a shelter in L.A., though they initially planned to rescue a dog in Oklahoma, where they live.
BIP Couple Plushing Wedding Back
After announcing their engagement, the couple said they didn’t plan to rush into a wedding. Heringer recently expressed one wedding concern that was giving her pause.
With Bachelor Nation couples splitting up left and right, should fans be concerned after she revealed in a new interview that they’re pushing the wedding back?
As it stands right now, fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb are still going strong, so why are they postponing the wedding?
Earlier this year, Abigail Heringer bought a house in Oklahoma. The couple plan to live and raise their family in Noah Erb’s home state. However, as any new homeowner knows, buying a home means extensive repairs and renovations.
Instead of spending money on a pricey wedding, the BIP alums are putting that money and energy into making their house into the home of their dreams.
“I don’t think trying to do a home renovation while trying to plan a wedding is a smart move,” Heringer told PEOPLE magazine about the change in plans. She compared the inside of their home to a “war zone” amid renovations.
However, she did reveal they have an outdoor oasis where they can relax with a few drinks. “It does feel like we’re in paradise out there,” she said of the outdoor patio space.
Heringer also spilled plans to host an engagement party in their backyard soon.
Earlier this week, the reality star shared a video on her Instagram documenting some of the home improvements they’ve been doing.
