Robyn Brown Took More Than Just Marriage Status From Meri
In a new thread on Reddit, one fan admits it just “dawned” on them that Robyn took so much more than marriage from Meri. The fan speculates that Robyn knew Kody and Meri’s relationship was doomed.
The fan explained: “She probably sat there listenin’ to Kody leak like a sieve regarding his desire to be able to just divorce Meri and be done.”
In hearing Kody Brown complain about Meri and possibly his other wives, fans can only assume Robyn worried about her security in the relationship as well. Could Kody fall out of love with her one day too?
In an effort to secure her future, Robyn Brown was successful in getting Kody to divorce Meri and get legally married to her. With Robyn Brown as his only legal wife, she is the only one entitled to child support and alimony if Kody Brown were to divorce her as well.
The OP of the Reddit thread notes that Robyn has always had money and security at the forefront of her mind. And, getting Kody to marry her was a strategic move on so many parts. Now, she was safe to go after his money if he “went off his rocker” and ended things with her too one day.
Some Fans Argue She Did Meri A Kindness
Some Sister Wives fans point out that divorcing Kody Brown was the best gift Robyn could have given to Meri. These fans clarify that the situation also protects Meri Brown’s money. By remarrying Robyn, Kody had no legal recourse to go after Meri for alimony either. Other fans chimed in that Meri likely makes a lot more money than Kody does. So, the divorce and marriage to Robyn worked out in her favor.
