SEAL Team is returning to CBS soon. This unexpected movie was due to the two major strikes in Hollywood. The writers, WGA, and the actors, SAG-AFTRA, have been striking for months. That means there are no new episodes of fan-favorite series like NCIS to air. Unlike streamers, who don’t abide by a regular schedule, linear channels like CBS need to pivot.

Therefore, the network has been creative in what they are bringing in from its cable and streaming branches. That includes SEAL Team, originally a CBS series that went to Paramount+ during Season 5. Now, it is back on CBS this fall.

However, some fans are confused about what will be airing on CBS. Here is why SEAL Team returning to CBS is not new to some viewers.

SEAL Team Fans Think CBS Is Airing Season 7

SEAL Team is returning to CBS this fall. However, fans are confused. According to TV Insider, CBS is airing Season 5. CBS is airing Season 5. That is because, after Season 4, this series moved from CBS to Paramount. Those fans who have only watched this David Boreanaz series on CBS will finally get to see Season 5.

Meanwhile, for those fans who moved to Paramount+ during Season 5, and have watched that season, as well as Season 6, there are no new episodes to watch at this moment. As of now, Paramount+ has not revealed any news on Season 7.

CBS Airing Yellowstone Season 1 This Fall

The upcoming CBS fall schedule is very unusual. CBS has a lot of confused viewers and that includes Yellowstone fans. Because Yellowstone was not originally on CBS like SEAL Team, the network is doing something different with this series. They are starting the Paramount series from the very beginning, with Season 1. That means fans who have never seen the Kevin Costner-led series will get to see a cleaned-up version on CBS.

However, fans who have been waiting over nine months for Yellowstone Season 5B will not be happy. This is the same story with SEAL Team. Those new Season 7 episodes have not been made.

But, fans can start to watch the series about John Dutton’s family for the very first time on CBS starting on Sunday, September 17, at 8:30 p.m., Eastern.

Don’t forget SEAL Team Season 5 will air on Thursday, November 2, at 10 p.m., Eastern, on CBS.
