Jim Bob Duggar Loathes Jill, Favors Jinger Why?
Jim Bob Duggar and his wife raised Jinger Vuolo and Jill Dillard who both rebelled against his strict rules but he seems to favor Jinger over her sister. Both of them wrote books and both of them shaded the way they raised their children. Naturally, TLC fans wonder why there seems to be some disparity between the two women.
Jim Bob Duggar Hates People Airing Family Business
When JIll Dillard appeared in the Amazon Docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, it became clear that her dad wasn’t happy about it. In a way, he shaded her for taking their business outside of his compound. At the time, his statement said, “We have always believed that the best chance to repair damaged relationships, or to reconcile differences, is through love in a private setting.” So, one can only imagine that he might be fuming since Jill’s book, Counting The Cost launched this week.
Jim Bob Duggar knew about Jinger’s book, Becoming Free, Indeed but there seemed to be less defensiveness with criticism of being raised under the rules of the IBLP. Admittedly, Jinger didn’t take part in the docuseries, but there was enough to point some fingers at the Counting On family. Certainly, it cannot be denied that Jill’s book seems way more controversial. Could that be why her dad seems angrier with Jill than with Jinger?

Jim Bob Duggar Seemed to Loathe Jill For Years – Why?
Jill related an allegedly terrifying encounter with her dad when she and Derick tried to discuss some issues in a private setting. In her book, he became so angry that it seemed like she feared a physical assault. Additionally, she talked about how her father protected her brother Josh after her molestation. Angry at one time she called her father out for treating her “worse than…[a] pedophile.”
On Reddit, some Counting On viewers discussed the way that Jim Bob Duggar seems much angrier with Jill than with Jinger. U/unmissingpiece noted:
What stood out to me was how unequal the treatments of the kids were. Jill was singled out to be ostracized and shamed, which is an incredibly isolating thing. Practically speaking Jinger has gotten away with a lot more—she wore pants first, wore more “revealing” clothes, was the first to write her book—yet she wasn’t ostracized in nearly the same way as Jill…”
TLC Fans Guess Why Jill’s In The Dog House
Jim Bob Duggar, one follower opined, might feel threatened by Jill over the tax fraud allegations. They wrote, “…the IRS might well be very, very interested in reading Jill’s memoir and finding out just how much Boob was lying to them. The IRS does not f–k around. Not only has Jill threatened Boob’s financial control, she might well have sicced the big, bad gummint on him.”
Meanwhile, another member of the community suggested, “Money is the difference. Jinger just wanted to wear pants. Jill wanted to wear pants AND get the $$$ she was owed. Jim Bob cares about $$$ more than anything. She hit him where it hurts and threatened his financial control of the fam.”
