‘BIP’ Alum Raven Gates Opens Up About Realities Of Parenthood
Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk welcomed their second child in July. Now, the BIP alum and mom to two boys is opening up about the realities of parenthood.
From Bachelor In Paradise to Married…With Children
Raven Gates met her future husband on Season 4 of Bachelor In Paradise. While the two left the beach without an engagement, they were very much together.
Adam Gottschalk popped the question in 2019, but COVID delayed their wedding until 2021. Three months after their wedding, they announced they were expecting a ‘honeymoon baby.’
The couple’s first child, Gates, was born in January 2022 after an emergency C-section.

Raven Gates Opens Up About The Realities Of Parenthood
The BIP alums are now parents of two children under the age of 2. Are there any struggles?
Raven Gates was a guest on the Almost Famous podcast, hosted by Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti Haibon. While chatting with the Bachelor Nation alums, she shared how parenthood is going.
According to the reality star, she “loves” being a mother, even on the “hard days.” Her husband, not so much. She shared that Gottschalk is having a “tougher time” with parenthood, per Us Weekly.
She explained to the podcast hosts that being a dad doesn’t come “natural” for her husband, which she chalked up to “just the man thing.”
However, she’s not stressing about it. She believes there is “a learning curve” for men when it comes to parenthood.
Do They Want More Children?
Before the birth of their second child, the couple went on a ‘babymoon’ to Italy. Raven Gates admitted on the podcast that she felt “mom guilt” from being away from her son, Gates.
Are more children part of their future plan? Bachelor Nation reports that Raven Gates answered that during an Instagram Q&A shortly after the birth of her second child.
She said that her husband often says he’s “good with two,” but after a few drinks, he changed his tune. According to Raven, he’s open to having a third child with one condition – that she keeps “being nice to him.”
She also revealed that their new house plans include an additional bedroom.
