Olivia Plath Admits To Questioning Whether She’s A Lesbian
In the newest Welcome to Plathville episode, which airs Tuesday, September 12, Olivia Plath questions whether she’s a lesbian. She has a deep conversation with her younger sister, Lydia Meggs, and discusses topics she hasn’t shared about before. So, what did Olivia say, and what could this mean?
Olivia Plath’s Marriage To Ethan
Olivia married Ethan Plath in October 2018. They’ve certainly hit many bumps in the road, as shown on TLC’s Welcome to Plathville. There has been a lot of drama with Ethan’s family. Most recently, divorce rumors have swirled, though they are unconfirmed.
Now, nearly five years into their marriage, Olivia is opening up about her thoughts about being a lesbian.
Lydia Meggs Joins Welcome To Plathville
Ahead of the new episode airing Tuesday night, TLC dropped a new clip, revealing that Lydia Meggs will make an appearance. Lydia is Olivia’s younger sister. Note that there’s also Lydia Plath, who is Olivia’s sister-in-law, but this clip is of Olivia’s biological sister.
The short preview shows the sisters chatting as they ride in the car together.
In the comments section of the TLC clip, fans are excited to see Olivia’s sister on the show. Olivia has opened up about not having Ethan’s family on her side and several members of her own family also don’t accept her. So, this may be very good for her. Many are talking about how similar the sisters look, and others are discussing the special bond they share.
Olivia Plath Admits To Questioning Whether She’s A Lesbian
In the new clip, which was posted on Instagram, Olivia and Lydia chat about their upbringing and how they had to wear very conservative clothing to the pool at the YMCA. They always thought this was odd and that they didn’t fit in, but their parents wouldn’t let them wear regular swimwear.
In the clip, Lydia and Olivia recalled that their mom told them that men were “undressing” them in their minds. This was a way she encouraged them to dress modestly.
For this reason, Lydia said, “I remember thinking I might be lesbian because I didn’t want anything to do with men if they were like that.”
Then, Olivia Plath admitted, “To this day, I somewhat wonder. I’m like, ‘Huh, men.’”

At this point, Olivia Plath hasn’t come out as a lesbian. Fans are interested to see what else she shares on this topic throughout the season. Or this could have been nothing more than a joke or a fleeting thought.
