Over the past several months, Robin Roberts has been taking her GMA fans and family along on the journey to I Do. She and Amber Laign have been together for nearly two decades and have both battled cancer together. Finally, they announced that they were tying the knot and fans were clamoring to find out when that would be. It appeared that would be a summer wedding and many guessed August. Roberts said that it was close but a little further off. She showed herself and Amber trying on dresses and all of the special details that went into their big day.

Additionally, Robin Roberts and Amber Laign took to Instagram to show themselves at the Farmington Town Hall getting their marriage license in order. Amber joked that she would have to get used to a new last name. Then, according to People, their dog, Lil Man Lukas, did the honors and shared that the wedding had happened. “My mommies are MARRIED!!!! Married?……yes….married!!!”

Robin Roberts initially broke the engagement news earlier this year but it still seemed surreal to her. “I’m hesitating because I haven’t said it out loud yet . . . I’m saying ‘yes’ to marriage. We’re getting married this year.” There have been some absences as they prepared for the big day which has been hard for viewers. It is unclear exactly who was invited and who showed up but Gio Benitez was eager for the event to begin. “Counting down the hours!! 😍😍😍” he wrote while Sara Haines sent congratulations.
