Welcome to Plathville star Kim Plath is reportedly living with her boyfriend just 11 months after splitting from her husband, Barry. Barry and Kim were married for 25 years, but she was ultimately unhappy and wanted a divorce. Fans watched it all go down on the family’s TLC show. As we’ve reported, Kim has a new boyfriend. After splitting up from her hubby, she was ready to re-enter the dating scene. This is a huge storyline in the new season of the show, which premieres tonight. Meanwhile, Barry seems to be focusing on himself.
Two of her daughters, Lydia and Moriah Plath, weren’t supportive of this idea. But she went ahead and found a new man. Though Kim doesn’t have a social media page with her name on it, fans think they’ve discovered an account under a different name. That’s where fans have seen several photos of Kim with her boyfriend, Ken Palmer.

The Sun exclusively confirmed that Kim Plath is now living with Ken Palmer. After announcing her split from Barry back in June 2022, she moved in with Ken in May 2023, just 11 months later. She previously lived in Cairo, Georgia with Barry and their children. But after their split, she has decided to live with her boyfriend, who owns a $609,000 home in Florida, according to The Sun.
Ken purchased the home back in 2017. It features four bedrooms, as well as an impressive outdoor space on five acres, including a pool and a barn.
This news might come as a shock to fans who are aware of the Plath family’s conservative beliefs. When fans first “met” the kids in Season 1, they weren’t familiar with pop culture references and weren’t allowed to eat sugar. Kim Plath also frowned upon drinking alcohol. So, purity as a Christian woman is likely important to her. This is why fans think her moving in with her boyfriend prior to marriage doesn’t seem to align with her beliefs. However, things may have changed after her divorce.

I really like this show but I think Kim is a complete hypocrite-and how convenient she gets with a man that has a home over $600,000-she doesn’t know what true marriage is

I think KP is a rebellious, controlling, angry religious but faithless woman. She completely abandoned her husband, children and her God. Her ex-husband Barry is a fine christian man whose heart was totally broken by her actions of faithlessness. You know he figured out that she was having an affair that culminated in their divorce. She was NEVER interested in fixing anything with him. Her kuds know too. She is a total hypocrite.
