Viewers watched as Kim and Barry’s marriage of 25 years unraveled. Now, they are starting the next chapters of their lives apart. What do Kim’s kids think about her entering the dating scene? As we’ve reported, Kim appears to be dating a new man after leaving Barry. In the first previews of the new season, it’s clear that her love life will be a major storyline. So, fans will likely get to “meet” him and see how their relationship came to be.
While Kim is dating, Barry has been pouring his free time and emotions into working out with the help of his son, Micah Plath. Fans are stunned by the progress the TLC star has made. What else is in store?
Moriah & Lydia Plath speak out as Kim begins dating again.
On Tuesday, a week before the Season 5 premiere, TLC shared another preview on Instagram. In the clip, fans got another look at what’s ahead in the new season. Of course, there’s lots of drama ahead.
While sitting outside at a restaurant with Moriah and Lydia, Kim announced, “I’m ready to start dating.”
In response, Moriah said, “I don’t support that.” Her sister, Lydia, backed her up and added, “Same.”
Based on the hints fans have dug up, as well as the other previews, it looks like Kim has gone ahead and started dating against her daughters’ wishes. Of course, it’s not entirely up to them. But they seem to have their reasons to believe it’s not a good idea for Kim to enter the dating world. The preview only showed a few seconds of this conversation, so there is likely much more to the story as Kim and her daughters discuss her future without Barry.
Naturally, fans are curious to see what else comes of this storyline. Plus, it’s possible Kim’s other children will weigh in on her decision to begin dating or share their thoughts upon meeting her new boyfriend.
