Emily Maynard’s Son Undergoes Emergency Surgery
It’s always scary when a little one has to have surgery. Now, former Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, is sharing her journey as her little one experienced emergency surgery for scar tissue removal. Keep reading to learn all the details and find out how the surgery went for little Jones.
Emily Maynard Son goes through surgery
Former Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, took to Instagram this weekend to share an update on her little boy. Earlier this year, the tot had to undergo an ostomy removal. While this was a big deal in itself, it seems that post-surgery, there have been even more complications which resulted in yet another surgery for the family. This time though, it came as a surprise.
In a post shared by Emily, she explains that she initially took Jones to the ER for a stomach bug. However, once there they realized it wasn’t a stomach bug. Instead, it was scar tissue build-up from the surgery earlier this year. Of course, this had to be removed immediately, resulting in another surgery.
“It’s going to be better than all right. I took Jones to the ER because of what I thought was a stomach bug, but it turns out he had some scar tissue built up from his last surgery and needed to have surgery again to fix the problem,” she shares on the social media platform.
Of course, she continues by thanking everyone who gave Jones care.
“Thankful for all of the nurses, doctors and surgeons at @levinechildrens for loving on my sweet boy so well,” she says. “Special thank you to the best pediatrician out there @amoranlanier who I texted and called at all hours to explain to me what was happening in toddler terms because my brain has been mush for the past 18 years, but especially the past couple of weeks.”
She finishes the post by saying that now that he’s out of surgery, the little boy hasn’t stopped smiling. So, it would seem things are on the mend for the family. Hopefully, this will be the end of a very busy and rather scary year for the family and for little Jones.

Of course, in the post, Emily included several sweet photos of little Jones with the lengthy caption. Her whole fanbase filled her comments with love and support for the little boy and for Emily. It seems she has a loyal group of people that love her.

All in all, it seems that Jones is on the uphill. Hopefully, this trend continues and the family can get some time to enjoy Jones being so little.
