One day this week, Mia went to the groomer. When she got back home, she ended up getting into the trash can. Later, Alyssa noticed that her dog had one eye open normally but something was wrong with her other eye. It looked like she was squinting.

The mama of five pried her dog’s eye open and noticed it was red. She wondered if it happened at the groomer or if something was in her eye from the trash.

Alyssa called the vet to see when they could get Mia in for an appointment. They had one appointment left for the day, and she would have to be there within 15 minutes or she’d have to wait several days to go in. One of Alyssa’s friends and her kids were over for a playdate. So, Alyssa left her four older kids with her friend and took Rhett and Mia to the vet.

At the vet, the Bringing Up Bates star continued updating fans. The vet couldn’t figure out exactly what happened, but Mia could have gotten shampoo in her eye at the groomer. So, they gave her eye drops and sent them home with eye drops and pain medication. She also had to wear a cone so she wouldn’t scratch her eye.

Fortunately, a few days later, she was feeling much better. Both eyes looked fully open and she was going to head back to the vet for a follow-up appointment.
