Mitch Rossell Releases New Song After ‘AGT’ Elimination
Despite his bittersweet ending, America’s Got Talent fans haven’t heard the last of country music singer Mitch Rossell.
For most America’s Got Talent fans, it’s never easy to see your favorite act leave early. Talented performers have come and gone, never to be able to reach their full potential. For others, America’s Got Talent was just a stepping stone to their bright and long-lasting careers after being eliminated. Singer Jackie Evancho was just 10-years-old when she finished in second place in Season 5 in 2010. Since then, Evancho has released 10 albums, including her EP which went platinum.
Mitch Rossell will soon learn which of those two categories he’ll fall under. In last night’s show, Rossell found out that he would not be advancing to the next round. He came excruciatingly close though, finishing in third place. The acts that did advance from this week’s group were Lavender Darcangelo and Adrian Stoica and Hurricane.
In his August 22 live performance, Rossell took to the stage and performed his original song “All I Need To See.”
Mitch Rossell’s emotional live performance
Rossell was all smiles as he finished his act and soaked in a standing ovation from the audience. Even the judges couldn’t help but join in on the frenzy. Judge Sofia Vergara immediately chimed in and celebrated Rossell’s passionate performance. “Mitch, you sing with such an emotion…that was such a catchy, romantic song.”
Vergara wasn’t the only judge caught up in the moment. After reflecting on Rossell’s raw emotion and heartfelt audition, Simon Cowell went a step further in his praise. “Let me tell you…you are the real deal. I really, really, really hope this is going to work out for you,” Cowell said of Rossell’s potential.
With the overwhelming support of the judges and the crowd, Rossell seemed like a shoo-in to advance to the next round. But unfortunately for Rossell, America can’t help but fall in love with an adorable dog. Hurricane wowed the audience with her acrobatic act and her infectious personality. When last night’s results came in, Rossell saw a bittersweet ending to his potential storybook journey.
Where Mitch Rossell goes from here
After Rossell was sent home packing, fans took to social media to voice their support for the singer. “You should have made it in the top 2 tonight!! Keep making music Mitch! You have a gift and I love your songs and music!” Wrote one disappointed fan.
“AGT just displayed why these shows are absolute garbage. I only watched because there was a genuine talent involved. @mitch_rossell needs to walk away with his head held high as the only reason people with true appreciation for talent would ever waste their time on @AGT,” wrote another frustrated X user.

Rossell appears to be more than content with just being able to soak in the experience. And for good reason. Even though Rossell is heading off of the show early, his future is still looking very bright. Before Rossell debuted “All I Need To See” on America’s Got Talent, the country music singer signed a record deal with Dreamcatcher Artists last week. Since his signing, “All I Need To See” has earned over 30 million digital streams so far. Not a bad consolation prize at all.

I can’t believe America voted for the limited dog contestant. Mitch surely deserved to go on, the girl magician/ventriloquist, and the blind female singer. America is truly stupid. And we wonder why we’re in trouble!?
He has to already have a contract after hitting #1 in his audition and most likely told them he’d come back, but had to be eliminated similar to what Drake Milligan did
Mitch is really a talent!! His words and his music touched my heart and soul! He is going to go far. He is what we all need to hear!!
