‘Bringing Up Bates’ Josie & Kelton Balka Split Up, Why?
Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates and her husband, Kelton Balka, have split up, but why? She took to social media to update fans and revealed what forced them to be apart. Keep reading for all of the details, and find out whether this is temporary or permanent.
As we reported, Josie and Kelton recently announced they are expecting their third child. They currently have two daughters, Willow and Hazel. They will welcome their third baby to the world in March and aren’t finding out the gender ahead of time. Amid this happy time in their lives, the couple was forced to spend some time away from each other.

On her Instagram Stories this week, Josie shared several photos of herself and her two daughters as they traveled to Arizona. They went on a girls’ trip with a few friends, as well as Trace Bates’ wife, Lydia Romeike. Fans expressed concern for Lydia going on this trip as she’s just weeks away from welcoming her first baby to the world. The baby boy is small for his gestational age, so fans think it would have been better to skip this trip. Nonetheless, Josie, Lydia, and several other friends enjoyed a few relaxing days together.

While Josie was in Arizona, her hubby went on an adventure of his own. He and several of his family members traveled to Alaska to go fishing. Josie made sure to share a couple of photos of him while he was away.

So, fortunately, this was only a temporary separation as the husband and wife had their individual trips to go on.
The Balka family is reunited.
Josie revealed that the Balkas weren’t apart for long. On her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Josie shared another update with fans as she headed home to reunite with her husband, Kelton. She posted a snap of her daughters in the wagon as they made their way through the airport and said, “Cannot wait to see @KeltonBalka.”
Upon returning home, she didn’t post any more photos, but she’s likely busy unpacking and catching up with her husband.
It looks like Josie, Kelton, Willow, and Hazel all enjoyed their trips this week but are glad to be back together again, of course. They’re often on the go, so they will likely share the details of their upcoming adventures soon.
