Tammy Slaton‘s battle against her weight may have never made progress if it wasn’t for a health scare that changed everything. Late last year, Tammy moved to a weight loss facility. But her body shut down, and she was placed in a medically-induced coma to give her body a chance to recover. Tammy’s sister Amanda said at the time that her lungs were giving up, and the family received a call that she had stopped breathing.

Once she awoke from the coma, Tammy embraced a determination to get her health on track. While at the rehab facility, she received bariatric surgery and doubled down on her efforts to lose weight. And unexpectedly, she also fell in love. Another resident of the facility, Caleb Willingham, stole her heart and the two tied the knot quickly after meeting. But it was not all rainbows and roses between the two. According to those in the know, Caleb’s efforts to lose weight weren’t as intense as Tammy’s, and the stuttered priorities led to marital woes.

By early 2023, the two were on the rocks and talking about divorce. However, whatever their future may or may not have held was cut short after Caleb passed away unexpectedly earlier this summer. Fans worried that Tammy’s grief would cause her to derail her weight loss and head in the wrong direction. But that did not happen.

New pics show that Tammy stayed just as determined to reclaim her life, and she has continued to make progress.

In a new pic shared to Instagram this week, Tammy Slaton is showing off her progress, and it’s impressive.

In the slim snap, Tammy is wearing a knee-length black top and camouflage leggings. She is turned to the side to show off her slimmed-down profile, and the progress is undeniable.

Fans immediately flooded the comments with support and celebration for how far the reality TV star has come. One fan wrote, “Awesome Tammy ! Way to take back your life!!” Another jokingly called Tammy, “Slim Jim” and added, “I see you, waist!”
