‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Reminds Mark He Wasn’t There For Kids?

On the Live episode that aired on Wednesday, August 23, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos chatted about kids all over the country heading back to school. Though their kids are grown up now, of course, they recall the events that took place at the beginning of the school year.
Kelly explained that her kids’ school years began with a “gentle entry” system when they were young. This was meant to help the kids adjust more easily. But it put more work on the parents, as they needed to be in the kids’ classrooms with them for a certain amount of time each day. Over time, the parents would spend less and less time in the classroom until their kids were comfortable and ready to begin their school year on their own.
Live Host Claims Husband Wasn’t There For Kids?
On the same topic, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos went on to discuss other events that happened at the beginning of the school year. This led to her opening up about something she hadn’t publicly discussed in the past, claiming that her husband wasn’t really there for their kids. In the episode, they talked about attending “meet the teacher” nights at their kids’ schools. It turns out that Mark wasn’t the biggest fan of these events, describing them as “annoying.”
In response, Kelly Ripa snapped, “Oh, did that annoy you? The one time that you attended that?”
Mark didn’t acknowledge his wife’s shady comment. Instead, he talked about what he disliked about the “meet the teacher” events, pointing out that the teachers often assigned the parents homework.
