‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Talks Dating Since Becoming Single
Janelle Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives sat down with Christine to do an exclusive interview ahead of the Season 18 Premiere. During the interview, Janelle got onto the topic of how she explained her situation to people after splitting up with Kody. Was she divorced? Was she single?
Chiming into the conversation, Christine Brown asked the question fans were dying to know. Was Janelle single and ready to mingle?
Sister Wives: Janelle Brown Talks Dating Since Becoming Single
During the interview with People Magazine, Janelle Brown was pretty quick to shut Christine down when she talked about dating. “No” she repeated several times in response to whether she was interested in dating. Turns out, Janelle was very happy as a single and independent woman. She felt free. Dating was not on her bingo card.
Janelle Brown jokingly admitted it would probably be another decade before she entertained the idea of being in a relationship with someone.
Is She Still Interested In Polygamy?
Both Meri Brown and Christine have affirmed they want nothing to do with polygamy. Christine is in a committed relationship with David Woolley. And, Meri recently spilled the beans that she is ready to date, but she wants monogamy. Interestingly enough, Robyn Brown is also now in a monogamous relationship with Kody. She, however, has said she doesn’t want monogamy. So, fans wonder what will happen there as Kody Brown does not appear to have an interest in finding any more wives.
Janelle Brown, however, admits she still likes the idea of plural marriage. She explains she likes the idea because she gets to be in a relationship. But, she also gets to have independence and freedom. The idea of being in a monogamous relationship is a huge turn-off for Janelle.
Janelle Brown Does Not Consider Herself Divorced
Now, Janelle Brown did surprise Christine when they discussed her relationship status. Janelle shared that she tells people she split up with her partner. She does not refer to Kody as her husband. And, she does not consider herself divorced. After all, they were never legally married.
Christine Brown was shocked and admitted she has no qualms about telling people she is divorced. In fact, she fessed up that she loved the title and proudly told anyone who asked that she was a divorced woman.
Sadly, Janelle Brown isn’t too sure if she’ll find another plural marriage. She argues that she just doesn’t think there are too many men capable of being successful at being in a plural marriage. And, that’s the real reason why it likely won’t be in the cards for her to be in another relationship.
