Meri Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives sat down for an exclusive interview where she finally got candid with her thoughts on being married to Kody Brown. Moreover, she also shed some light on what might’ve been one of the bigger mistakes her husband made that may have very well cost him all of his wives.
What did Meri Brown have to share about her true feelings toward her marriage with Kody? Keep reading for the details.
Meri Brown FINALLY Reveals True Feelings About Marriage
During her interview with People Magazine, Meri Brown bit the bullet and got candid about everything. She even touched on the catfishing incident with the outlet because she knows many Sister Wives fans believe the catfishing scandal is what ultimately broke her marriage and maybe even her entire family.
Meri, however, insists the catfishing incident just added to the damage, but it would be “inaccurate” to say it caused her downfall with Kody.
Unfortunately, Meri explains that being in a plural marriage does not allow a person to escape feelings of jealousy. In her situation, it was Kody Brown’s job to balance his time with his wives. It was also his job to recognize jealousy and do what he could to smother it when it became a problem. The TLC star, however, just didn’t necessarily believe he did the best job managing the jealousy of his wives. Without outright saying it, some fans picked up that Meri might’ve thought that was a huge part of why this family crumbled.
Meri Brown did also fess up to feeling bad for even feeling jealousy. Part of her questioned if a plural wife was allowed to feel jealousy.

Her Split Was A Long Time Coming
The Sister Wives star recognizes her relationship with Kody being so frustrating to fans as the split was a “long time coming.” She, however, explains it took both her and Kody a long time to get to a place where they could not only talk to each other about their feelings. But, that they could listen to each other as well. She claimed discussing feelings was only half the battle if the other person was not willing to listen. And, they struggled with this for a long time.
Meri Brown shared it was about a year and a half ago. It was on their anniversary. They were finally ready to talk. She recalled standing outside and just putting everything out there. As well as listening to Kody tell her things he’s never said before. Things about how he was feeling. That was the moment. The moment they knew their marriage was over.
