‘Bachelorette’ Xavier’s Darkest Secret Had Him Coming Up Short

Bachelorette contestant Xavier Bonner shared that his deepest, darkest secret left him coming up short with Charity Lawson. In the beginning, he appeared to be a front-runner. This continued for quite some time especially since there were photos that looked like it was him in Fiji.  Then, he sprang information on her at a very inopportune time that led to him being eliminated and going home. Now, he shared that his darkest secret ended up hurting him even more. He opened up after facing Charity on the Men Tell All special. Keep reading to find out more.

Xavier Bonner’s darkest secret ruined his chances

Following the Men Tell All special Xavier Bonner opened up to People about his infidelity and how it ultimately ended his relationship with Charity Lawson. He said he felt like an open book when he had to face The Bachelorette at the Men Tell All. When he faced her on stage he said he was less apologetic about who he is.

However, he did say, “I’m growing and still trying to figure out the things that makes Xavier unique, makes Xavier Xavier.”

Charity came at him just as she did Brayden Bowers. She hasn’t and doesn’t have a problem saying exactly what she’s thinking. Xavier’s confession to Charity was the first time he’s ever confessed it to anyone. Xavier said, “That’s literally my darkest secret.”

He also shared that when Charity questioned him about what he’s done to work on himself in regard to cheating, Xavier didn’t really have an answer. He admitted in the post-interview that he had never had that conversation with himself and didn’t really know what to say.

He’s in therapy

Xavier hasn’t been able to get over Charity. In fact, he admits to thinking about their time together every day. So, Xavier did get a counselor to help him deal with his feelings.

He is currently not dating as he continues to work on himself. Xavier said, “I think about our time together literally every day. So I had to get a therapist because I felt like there was some work that I had to do on myself in order to be ready for somebody that is my forever person.”

He is ready to move on and realizes that he came up short with Charity. He concluded his interview by saying, “I felt like I truly gave it my all, and sometimes you come up short.”
