Lisa Vanderpump Brings PUMP Back To Life
Lisa Vanderpump is bringing her beloved PUMP restaurant back to life. She closed it after a decade in July which was sad but it seemed like she was ready. Now, it appears that it has been resurrected but where will it be located and when will it be open? Read on for more details.
Lisa Vanderpump Brings PUMP Back To Life
After a decade of having PUMP open, Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd decided to close this restaurant. They used the reasoning that the new lease would be very costly for a ten-year commitment. Furthermore, the family shared that they had other endeavors that they were pursuing. One of them will be in Lake Tahoe which was filmed for this season of Vanderpump Rules. The cast took a group trip to see it and support LVP as she prepared for the launch. Yet, it seems that the Vanderpump-Todd family could not let PUMP go so easily.
According to People, Lisa Vanderpump is reopening the restaurant but in a new location. It will be placed right next to TomTom in West Hollywood. This is the restaurant lounge that she co-owns with Pump Rules cast members Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval. It officially opened in Season 7 of the show and has been featured since its inception. Actually, the two restaurants will merge some as the garden space of TomTom will become the new PUMP.
Upon closing the original location, Lisa Vanderpump had this to say: “Another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords, is not something we are ready to commit to.” Did they have any idea that a new space was in the works? That is unknown but it may place out in Season 11. Yet, LVP has a knack for finding spots as she helped Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix find the space for their sandwich shop, Something About Her. They are still waiting to officially open the shop so this season will be filled with food.
Everything But The Kitchen Sink
When Lisa Vanderpump and company exited PUMP, her husband, Ken Todd was hit with a lawsuit. Apparently, they owed rent as well as money for furnishings they took from the building. Plus, they were supposed to hand over their liquor license so the new business could start operating but that never happened. They were sued “to collect past due base rent, so-called ‘triple net’ expenses including property taxes, insurance and utilities, late fees and attorney’s fees.” Now it makes sense why they needed the furnishings.
