‘DWTS’ Emma Slater Gives Reasons For Split With Sasha Farber
DWTS pro Emma Slater is opening up a bit more about her split with fellow dancer, Sasha Farber.
Many Dancing With The Stars fans were heartbroken last summer when the pair announced their separation. At the time, neither really had much to say about the breakup. But now, Emma is opening up more about the situation.
She recently appeared on The Viall Files to talk about the driving force behind the split and what the future looks like moving forward. Keep reading to get the scoop.
Emma Slater shares the divorce boiled down to one key element
After confirming the end of their marriage, Emma Slater and Sasha Farber surprised many fans. But what was even more surprising was how kind they were to one another. Both seemed incredibly interested in keeping a professional relationship and friendship alive.
“We’re still like family, so it isn’t really like the love is not there, it’s actually not that at all,” Emma said during a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast. “We’re just at potentially two different places. But the hard part was that the love actually didn’t go [away].”
Many fans noted that Emma and Sasha seem to be on excellent terms, all things considered. They attend the same parties, share many mutual friends, and even performed in duets together during the 2023 DWTS tour.
“It’s really the kid thing. It’s interesting because I do want to have kids, I just don’t want to delay Sasha’s path in having kids because I know that he is ready for that. I don’t want to talk about him too much because that’s really for him to say, but it’s about kids,” the British dancer continued.
Emma went on to say that she’s taking some time to figure herself out. She and Sasha did discuss having children, but Emma felt herself starting to pull away.
“So, that’s been the real friction and the real hard part,” Emma admitted on the podcast. “It had nothing to do with him. He’s always been very much himself. It’s me that’s found it difficult to understand why I’m feeling different.”
So what does the future look like for the DWTS pro?
Although Emma Slater is single now, she isn’t actively looking for a new partner. However, she does have a vision in mind when it comes to her future partner.
“Honestly, I have visions of a guy walking into my life … I see like a tall guy with, like, blue eyes and, maybe, British or someone. Like, that would be ideal. I don’t know why that’s coming to my head. [And] blonde. I don’t know a guy like that,” Emma told Nick Viall on the podcast. She also added that in the future, she will keep more of her love life private.
For now, Emma Slater’s future remains wide open. And it seems like she prefers it that way.
