‘DWTS’ Pros Emma Slater And Sasha Farber Split Up
Dancing with the Stars pro dancers, Emma Slater and Sasha Farber have officially split up after four years of marriage. According to reports, the couple actually broke up a few months ago, but have kept it under wraps.

The news came from Us Weekly, who confirmed that Emma Slater and Sasha Farber broke up a few months ago, but they remain “amicable.” Neither person is still wearing their wedding rings anymore, and it appears the marriage is finished. According to a source, “It’s been a difficult time since they really care about each other and have been together for so long.” However, the couple have not filed for divorce yet.
This split has been rumored for a while now. We reported back in July that the two had stopped posting anything about each other on social media and they no longer make appearances together. Sasha hadn’t posted anything about Emma since January, when the DWTS tour launched. They also attended Brandon Armstrong’s wedding solo and posted nothing on their wedding anniversary.
The source revealed the couple are “leaning on friends for support,” and will “continue to work together as professional dancers” as they did following their initial split in 2014. “They’re pros and won’t let their personal life get in the way of DWTS.”
The couple split up in 2014, but got back together and he ended up proposing to her in 2016.
This comes less than a year after Emma talked about how she and Sasha separate their work and home lives. “I think we do a really good job of separating our work life from our home life, which is crazy because we literally [do] everything together,” Emma said last November. “So, it is hard to separate it. For some reason, we do a really good job with that. It’s just, like, it doesn’t get to us in our personal life.”
Second high-profile DWTS divorce
The breakup of Emma Slater and Sasha Farber is the second Dancing with the Stars marriage to end this year. Also, filing for divorce was Cheryl Burke, the longest-lasting pro on the show. Burke was married to Matthew Lawrence, and the two ended up filing for divorce earlier this year when they attempted marriage counseling and it didn’t work.
Unlike Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, Cheryl made her divorce public. She posted several Instagram posts and YouTube videos about the process. Cheryl also started her own podcast, Burke in the Game. She talked about her divorce, past relationships that went wrong, and her experience with finding love. Much like her Dancing with the Stars’ fellow dancers, Cheryl reached out to her friends for support during her divorce, which she admitted was tough.
