AGT fans are calling for big changes, saying they are disgusted by how much power the show’s judges have.

When it comes to America’s Got Talent, there are three components: the contestants, the judges, and the audience both at home and live. Fans of the show believe that the judges have too much control, and are going against the wishes of the show’s biggest supporters, the fans. Now, they’re calling for some big changes and saying they’re sick of the way things are. Read on to find out what changes fans are hoping for.

America’s Got Talent Infuriates Fans With Risky Risque Act

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that fans have lashed out at the show and called for some big changes.

In early August, fans called for a boycott of the show after they aired an act that some deemed “disgusting.” And it all comes back to a circus act. AGT‘s social media account shared a video and captioned it,“@bombacircus left little to the imagination.” Bomba!’s website describes the group; “Bomba! is a modern comic circus show, the creation of three Israeli circus artists, Amit, Noam & Yaron.”

The circus group acted out a routine with an orange ball and wooden sports paddles. The performers juggled the ball between paddles and showed off their coordination and planning with impressive moves. There was a catch to it all: the three men appeared to be completely naked, using the paddles to protect their limited modesty. As the act continued, judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel all looked increasingly nervous.

In the end, the judges decided to let the act advance to the next round. Fans, however, were not thrilled at the daring display of juggling skill and skin. Some blasted the show online, and reminded producers that they bill the show as “family-friendly.” Others called the performers’ attire “disgusting.” They demand that other fans boycott the show with them to send a message to producers.

AGT Fans Demand Big Changes, Sick Of How Much Power Judges Have

And now, fans are angry all over again for a different reason. The way the show currently works, hopefuls perform for the judges and audience. Judges can advance or veto an act based on an individual basis, which means that each judge holds an extraordinary amount of power.

Judges can hit a buzzer that stops an act mid-performance, and not everyone is happy about this process. One fan posed the question online, “Do you think there should be a new rule for the buzzers to buzz only after an act is complete?” They suggested disabling the buzzer until a performance concluded, which would allow the people on the stage to remain focused. This would be beneficial during particularly dangerous performances, and would also prevent impatient judges from interrupting acts that the audience was enjoying.

Others suggested that the current judge lineup is getting “stale,” and hoped for some fresh faces in the next season.
