No one likes change, because that means your regular way of going about life will be different. This week a lot has been going on for the Today Show. With Hoda Kotb being absent this week, due to celebrating her birthday, and other hosts disappearing from left to right, news of an anchor joining raises some eyebrows. That doesn’t sound good, especially when everything is playing out on television. So what’s going on with the crew and why can’t they seem to get things in order? Today, news just came out that Joe Fryer will be added to the lineup.

Who Is Joe Fryer?

Joe Fryer is an American journalist. He joined NBC News in 2013, as a part-time correspondent but moved up to full-time later that year. So Joe is no stranger to the news or the Today Show. Not only does he report for NBC Nightly News and MSNBC, but the journalist has made several appearances on Today as a fill-in anchor. As of now, he is no longer in a fill-in role, he was named the Today feature anchor on Saturdays. But he won’t be alone. He stated, “We are moving the Saturday show back to studio 1A. Laura Jarrett is joining us.” Going on to say, “We’re gonna have a good time”.

So Who’s Being Replaced On The Today Show?

Kristen Welker, who was a co-host for Today Show weekend and now she is experiencing a chapter in life. Her new role is a moderator on Meet The Press. With that being said, taking her place is Laura Jarrett. Laura Jarrett is a veteran journalist, who joined NBC News in the beginning of this year. She is set to co-host Today this Saturday and NBC News Saturday. There’s exciting news for everyone to celebrate. Also joining in with Joe and Laura will be American journalist, Peter Alexander. Meteorologist Angie Lassman is also apart of the team, having joined NBC News in December of last year. Lets see how these changes reflect on the television screens.
