Kim Kardashian Steps Over Line, Upsets Murder Victim’s Family?
Kim Kardashian recently tried using her platform to help an incarcerated murder inmate, but the gesture was a slap in the face to the victim’s family. Steve Thomas was your average 16-year-old who walked into a Harvey nightclub one night and never back came out. January 12, 2002, changed the lives of Steve’s family forever, his brother George Thomas often relives the night of his brother’s murder. Now Kim K is making it a little harder for the Thomas family to mourn Steve. As she is fighting for his killer to get released from prison. George’s family knows C-Murder is responsible for their son’s death and will not stop until he serves his full time.
Kim Kardashian’s Gesture To Help
Kim Kardashian took to her social media the case of Corey Miller who has spent 21 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. His conviction is based completely on two men who were forced by the state to testify. Both of those two men have now sworn on everything that their prior statements were untrue. So now if that is true then it leads no evidence to Corey Miller. TMZ reported, Louisiana recently enacted a new law that provides innocent people a chance to raise a post-conviction claim of factual innocence. Kim believes Corey can prove his innocence and get out of prison in the following years.

How Did This Make The Family Feel?
Steve Thomas’s family was extremely hurt by the news when they found out Kim Kardashian was advocating for C-Murder. George said it’s like reopening the same wound that cut the family so deep years ago. He also explains the advocacy of Kim Kardashian and other celebs has made it impossible to properly mourn Steve, who was so young and had his whole life ahead of him at the time. He added the family is constantly reliving the pain and he never stops thinking about his brother. George says there are mountains of evidence pointing straight to C-Murder as the gunman, and the person who took Steve Thomas’s life. George also stated he was all for Kim Kardashian using her voice to help innocent people. But the person who killed his brother, C-Murder is not that guy. C-Murder was convicted in 2011 and even appealed to the U.S. supreme court which denied to hear the case.
What Kim did was just her job of course, but what do you think? Should she have been a little more sensitive when it came to the family or did she do the right thing by helping C-Murder? If this was someone in your family would you appreciate a celeb shining a light on his story? By trying to help him get the justice he deserves if he really was innocent? Serving 21 years for something you didn’t do is horrible. But so is murdering an innocent 16-year-old. Sound off in the comments below!! We love to hear your thoughts!!!
