‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Vanna White Dissed Longtime Friend Pat Sajak
Vanna White has made some interesting comments about her longtime friend Pat Sajak as she battles for equal pay on Wheel of Fortune. While Vanna lost out on the job replacing Pat as the host, she is still looking to get her first raise in the last 18 years on the show. She also isn’t holding back in her comments.

Vanna White disses Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune
Vanna White was one of the finalists for the Wheel of Fortune hosting job. Pat Sajak is retiring after next season, and the show hired Ryan Seacrest to replace him as the host. The hit game show wants Vanna White back, as it doesn’t want too big of a shakeup when Pat leaves. However, Vanna is battling the network for a raise, as she hasn’t received one in decades.
This caused someone to dig up an old Esquire interview from 2019 with Vanna concerning her job at Wheel of Fortune. She said in the interview that her job remains harder than Pat’s on the show. She said she had walked thousands of miles in high heels during their decades on the game show. Pat stands behind a podium. This makes it harder on her year after year than Pat’s job.
However, while she admits she does more hard work than Pat Sajak, she also said at the time that they remained equals on Wheel of Fortune. She said she “runs the show,” but it isn’t empowering. “I think I’m equal to everybody. We have 150 staff and crew. It’s not just me up there. There are 150 of us that put the whole show together,” Vanna said. However, despite her belief in equality, Wheel of Fortune doesn’t pay Vanna equal to her co-host Pat Sajak.
Vanna White fighting for better pay on Wheel of Fortune
Vanna White has said that there is only one way she returns to Wheel of Fortune. She wants a raise. This is a big deal because Vanna reportedly hasn’t received a raise in 18 years. She still makes a massive amount of money, paid $3 million a year for her role as co-host on the show. While some don’t see her in that manner, the show introduces Pat and Vanna as the two hosts of the show, yet Vanna does not get paid like it.
Wheel of Fortune pays Pat Sajak $15 million a year, five times more than it pays Vanna. According to reports, Vanna wants the network to use part of the money it saves by replacing Pat with Ryan Seacrest to allocate to a raise for her. However, there was also s source that said that Vanna wants more than 50 percent of Pat’s salary, and might want to get paid the same that Pat made.
