‘When Calls The Heart’: Is Jack Wagner Leaving Hallmark Series?
Is Jack Wagner’s WCTH character Bill Avery going to be gone at the end of this season? Hearties are concerned that the General Hospital alum will be leaving the Hallmark series.
What sorts of clues lead viewers to think that this could be the end? Also, what clue could mean that there is unnecessary worry?
WCTH Season 10 Is A Rollercoaster Ride
Why could Hearties think that Jack Wagner could be leaving? ET recently reported that Erin Krakow had promised that WCTH Season 10 was going to be a “rollercoaster” ride. Speaking to the entertainment outlet before the SAG-AFTRA strike she revealed, “There’s a bit of a life-or-death situation.”
Although she also promised no one would perish, she admits it gets “a little dicey for a second.”
Yet, the first episode, entitled “Carpe Diem,” revealed that this is going to be a season of really happy stories. Lucas (Chris McNally) and Elizabeth (Krakow) are getting engaged. Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Leland (Kavan Smith) are having a baby. Moreover, the Hope Valley kids found a hot spring.
However, it is Bill Avery that has Hearties concerned. In the first episode, it is revealed that he never went to that doctor’s appointment. Moreover, he is not even listening to Dr. Faith Carter’s (Andrea Brooks) advice! Could his health be something that is a “life-or-death” situation?
Rumor That Jack Wagner Was Going To Great American Family
About 18 months ago, Great American Family’s CEO Bill Abbott had briefly mentioned in a video interview that Jack Wagner would be headed over to the new network where his friend and former WCTH co-star Lori Loughlin has been working since the College Admissions Scandal.
This was quietly mentioned before Season 9 was broadcast. Then, when Jack Wagner started to cough blood in Season 9, fans were concerned that Bill Avery was very sick. Then, the speculation continued that the Melrose Place alum was leaving the series.
Therefore, the combination of the former Hallmark CEO’s brief comment, and Bill’s illness, it sounded like he would be exiting the series.
However, when it came to heading back up to Vancouver last summer, Jack happily confirmed that he was returning to Hope Valley for Season 10. Sounds like his departure was just a misunderstanding or rumor.

Was Jack Wagner Part Of When Calls The Heart Star Watch Along?
Currently, When Calls The Heart Season 11 is filming in Vancouver, BC. This is a unique situation as this is the first year where the stars of this beloved series are working on a new season while the last season’s episodes premiere.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, they needed and were granted, special permission to film the new season, as they are a small production company. That means members of SAG, such as Erin Krakow, and Jack Wagner, Ben Rosenbaum, as well as other members, could film.
However, the stars have been low-key about sharing their return to Hope Valley. But, on premiere night, a couple of videos were shared of the stars watching the first episode. One video, in particular, that Andrea Brooks tweeted shared the cast reacting to Jack Wagner falling backward into the hot spring by cheering and looking back at what could be Jack Wagner.

If that is the case, Jack Wagner is back for Season 11.
