On Reddit, a fan started a conversation about the mother-daughter pair. One fan noticed something huge about Anna and Amber’s recent interaction. The user explained that in the fire truck episode, Amber gave all of her kids except Anna long hugs.

They added, “With Anna she gave an awkward side hug and Anna was also the most visibly upset.” Someone else weighed in with a possible explanation, pointing out that Amber might be holding a grudge. The fan wrote: 
“She’s never forgiven Anna for not seeing her as saving her from the orphanage and taking to her right away. Nevermind that Anna was just a little child in need of lots of love and patience and Amber was a grown-*ss adult who was supposed to provide said love and patience.”
Another added, “She was completely brushed off yet obviously truly scared for her mom.” Others don’t understand why Amber might be holding a grudge, but they are heartbroken for Anna. Many are also pointing out that Anna likely has trauma from her early years of life. Though she’s grateful to have been adopted and to have such a great life today, that transition was not easy on her as a very young girl. She went through a lot prior to her adoption.
