Part of Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop, Something About Her, has been demolished. The Vanderpump Rules co-stars were planning on opening sometime this summer. Part Of Ariana Madix & Katie Maloney’s Shop Demolished
Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have been investing a lot of time in their sandwich shop, Something About Her. They did a food sampling at the end of Season 10. Plus, Ariana used the shop to make her DWTS announcement. It seemed like the official opening of the shop would play a central part in the new season. The ladies have been making fun TikToks to show their progress and Katie even took her friends to show what the space looked like. Show alum Stassi Schroeder showed off the interior and was so impressed with how far it had come.
However, it looks like their dream may have been derailed slightly. According to The Sun, the patio of Something About Her has been demolished but why? As it turns out, Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s patio for the sandwich shop did not meet proper permit standards. Due to this, they had to tear it down. More so, it does appear that they have workers redoing the patio to meet the requirements. Lastly, it is just unclear how long this will take but Madix and Maloney learned of this about a month and a half ago.

Apparently, they have had to spend six figures to both knock it down and then make the new patio work properly. As to when the sandwich shop will officially be open, this is what is known thanks to an insider. “Everything is completely done. The menu is done. The interior is done. Staff is hired. Now it’s just a matter of finishing the patio. It will definitely be open mid-August at the latest.” Luckily for Vanderpump viewers, this means they will get to see opening day.
Keeping Themselves Busy
Despite the delay, Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix have kept themselves quite busy. Ariana made a guest appearance on Love Island and has a bunch of endorsement deals. As for Katie, she has been indulging in emo night and going out with close friends for fun dinners. Plus, they have been filming Season 11 although they did not attend the Lake Tahoe trip with the rest of the cast.
