Earlier this week, Savannah Guthrie was out of the studio. When she returned, she brought with her a fancy new hairdo and style. Keep reading to find out how Savannah updated her overall look.

Show Brings Out The Big Guns To Replace Savannah

The last two weeks have been a carousel of rotating absent hosts. On Tuesday, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer were absent. Then on Wednesday, Savannah Guthrie was out of the studio with no warning.

In order to replace Savannah, the network was forced to bring out the big guns: Craig Melvin. While Craig usually joins the hosts about thirty minutes into the show, he doesn’t usually get to sit at the table from the start. With Savannah’s absence, however, Craig was seated at the table with the other main co-hosts for Wednesday’s show. He recently took his own turn at being out of the studio, returning this week from a lovely vacation with his family.

He did not provide any information about Savannah‘s absence, and she returned on Thursday with a new look in tow.

Savannah Guthrie Debuts New Hair And Style On Today

After she returned to the studio on Thursday, it was clear that Savannah Guthrie enjoyed some self-care while she was out.

Normally, Savannah opts to wear her brunette hair down around her shoulders. But when she got back to the desk Thursday, she was rocking a stylish updo. She twisted her hair up into a playful messy bun and pulled a few strands of hair down to float around her face. And it wasn’t just her hair that got an update: she was wearing a fun new style too. To add to her stylish new look, Savannah wore a sparkly green skirt. To top off the look, she wore a high-necked sleeveless blouse with a ruffled neckline.

It was the perfect end-of-summer look for the host after enjoying some time off. Summer is usually the time when hosts rotate absences so they can enjoy the warm weather. And this year, they’ve all made the most of their time away from the studio.

We don’t know which hosts will take more time off in the near future, but it’s good for viewers to see familiar faces that leave come back again. Even if Savannah is sometimes controversial, she’s a familiar face that fans say they’re happy to see back in the studio.
