According to InTouch Weekly, Bronny’s family did issue a statement about what happened. They, however, also asked for “respect and privacy” noting that they would update the media as more information about what was going on became available.

The statement added that both LeBron James and his wife Savannah wanted to “publicly” thank the medical and athletic staff at USC for acting so quickly to take proper care of their son Bronny.

According to InTouch Weekly, a 911 call was placed on July 23 at 9:26 a.m. from the Galen Center of USC. The 18-year-old was reportedly unconscious when he was rushed to a nearby hospital via ambulance. The medical emergency was declared a “Code 3.” This means the ambulance would have had both the siren and lights going indicating it was a serious and urgent emergency.

According to People Magazine, Bronny graduated from Sierra Canyon High School just a few months ago. It was earlier this month that he officially announced he would be joining USC’s basketball team. LeBron James stated the announcement was “one of the best days” of his life.

First of all, congratulations to Bronny on his decision he made. I’m super proud of him, our family is proud of him. For me personally, it’s even more special to me because it’s the first time someone out of my family to go to college. Obviously, I didn’t go to college. It’s just a proud moment to see my son go to college, and he’s the first one to go college in my family. Super duper proud, super emotional, but just super duper excited and happy for his journey.”

At this time, it is being reported that Bronny is out of the IUC and in stable condition.

NBA fans’ thoughts and prayers are with LeBron James and his family during this difficult time.
