Emily Maynard Hurt Deeply, Calls Out Heartless Culprit
Bachelor Nation alumni and former Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, isn’t letting internet trolls get to her. And, she’s especially not letting them get to her kids. Keep reading to find out what has Emily so upset and why she exposed an internet troll on her Instagram.
Emily Maynard deeply hurt by internet troll
In a new Instagram post, fans might notice something a little different from Emily Maynard. Instead of sharing a photo of one of her children or her family, she shared a simple picture with just a few words. The picture reads “Shoulda stopped at 5.”
Taken out of context, this might be a bit confusing, however, it actually relates back to a post she shared prior of her most recent baby, Jones West who was born with Downs Syndrome. Jones, who was born in August of last year, is the sixth child Emily welcomed into her sweet family.
After sharing a post of herself with her little one trying some candy, someone took things too far writing “Shoulda stopped at 5,” on her post, meaning, she should not have had Jones because now, he has Downs Syndrome.

Of course, Emily was deeply hurt by this heartless comment and took it upon herself to share the comment in a separate post.

Emily claps back at the hater
In the second post shared, the Bachelor Nation star calls the Instagram user out by username. She even reminds them they are a mother in the caption of the picture.
“@gienik just remember that even though you may not post your name on your Instagram, it doesn’t mean you can post whatever hateful thoughts go through your head. Hopefully one of your friends or family members in Saskatoon will see this and have a serious talk with you about love and kindness. You are a mother. You should be ashamed of yourself,” she shares in the emotional caption.
Emily writes that she will probably delete the post later. However, several of her fans were sure to jump into the comments to show her love and keep her from doing that. It seems everyone thinks this person deserves to be called out for the comment made about the sweet little baby.
“I’m so glad you didn’t stop at 5🩵,” one person writes.
Others seem to love following Emily because of what a great mother she is to Jones.
“I saw someone else say “I’m so glad you didn’t stop at 5” and I’m here to say that I also am SO glad you didn’t stop at 5. I have so much I want to say, but I’ll just leave it at how special that little boy is and that you are such a great great mother. Thank you for being who you are, and who that little boy needs now and in the future. ❤️,” someone else writes.
As of now, the post is still up on Emily’s Instagram. Only time will tell if she decides to take the post down. Or, she may decide to continue to expose this internet troll for who they really are.
