Tori Spelling recently fled her house in the middle of what could amount to a very painful split from her husband. But it wasn’t toxic marital issues that chased her away from the house, according to an insider who spoke with PageSix. It was toxic mold issues.

A paparazzo caught up with the actress as she left a Target in California earlier this week. They asked why she was staying in a $100-a-night motel with her children. An aggravated Tori replied, “Are you a parent? You know you would do whatever you can for your kids, right?” She did not confirm the reason for fleeing their home.

However, the media outlet reports that they spoke to a source who knows what’s really going on. The insider told the publication that Tori’s motel stay had “nothing to do with separation.” Instead, they explained, there’s an “ongoing mold problem at their house.” The source added that Tori takes the mold situation seriously and “isn’t going to subject herself or her kids to that.”

Now, Tori Spelling appears to be missing. An insider spoke with Daily Mail and told the outlet that they are no longer hearing from Tori. The source said, “Tori has not been returning calls and has kind of gone AWOL, which has her close friends worried sick.”

That source added that Tori’s soon-to-be-ex Dean McDermott does not believe his children should be staying in a motel. Tori and Dean share five children: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6. The same source said, “Dean is also taking up some issue with the kids being with Tori at these motels.” According to the insider, “He thinks that the kids should be at home” and not “motel hopping” with Tori. They added, “he just believes that this is not what is best for them at this time.”

But with Tori radio silent and things tense with her ex, it’s unclear what the near future holds for the actress and her kids.
