Sugar Bear Bails On Rehab Before It Even Starts
Sugar Bear was supposed to be heading to rehab to get help for his pill addiction. Sadly, it turns out that he didn’t ever make it there. Alana Thompson’s dad is well-known for his time on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Sugar Bear’s Rehab Plans
Sugar Bear had plans to go to a very well-known rehab to get treatment for an addiction to pain pills. This isn’t all that he is struggling with though. Sugar Bear has issues with anxiety and depression as well. He reached out to Lamar Odom and was supposed to go to one of his rehab facilities. It sounds like Lamar had it all set up for him. These two have met before.

Sugar Bear Changes His Mind
Sugar Bear was supposed to check in to a rehab facility in Kansas on July 6, 2023. TMZ shared that instead of showing up he has gone MIA and isn’t at rehab. Sugar Bear didn’t even take the time to let Lamar and the facility know that he wasn’t coming. He was just a no-show when he was supposed to check in to rehab.
The plan was to take a flight on Thursday night and get to Kansas so that he could check in to the Gold Bridge Treatment Center. Sugar Bear didn’t show up. One excuse was because of work then another one was that he was in the hospital for a health reason. If either of those are true, nobody knows for sure. He hasn’t been answering Lamar Odom when he tries to reach out, though.

What Has He Been Up To?
It is really hard to know what Sugar Bear has been doing lately. He doesn’t really post on social media. Not long ago, it was revealed that his girlfriend of over a year and he had split. He hasn’t revealed yet if he is dating someone new.
Mike Thompson had a huge transformation recently, too. He got new teeth, botox and work done on his hair. This is when he got the chance to meet Lamar Odom as well. This was back in 2022 and he hasn’t posted on social media since then.
Sources also confirmed that in over a year he hasn’t really been connected to his daughter Alana Thompson. It is unknown if the reason is because of his pill addiction or not, but she has made it clear she wasn’t okay with Mama June doing drugs. You can easily assume she wouldn’t be okay with this either.
