Netflix’s ‘Is It Cake?’ Season 3: Canceled Or Renewed?
It’s been a little over a week since Netflix dropped Season 2 of Is It Cake? into the streaming library and subscribers are already itching to know if the unique baking competition will be canceled or renewed for Season 3. Has any information on another season of the Netflix series been revealed yet? Keep reading for the details.
What is the series about?
Is It Cake? is a unique baking competition that (as the name suggests) involves trying to decide whether realistic items are cakes. Each season, a group of contestants attempts to trick a judging panel into thinking their cakes are real items. The contestants get to use a decoy item (or items, depending on the season) of their choice to try and fake out the judges.
In a bonus round for some quick cash, the winner of each episode gets a chance to earn some quick cash if they can decide which money-themed item is cake.
The official synopsis of the series reads: “Mikey Day hosts a baking contest during which skilled cake artists create mouthwatering replicas of handbags, sewing machines and other objects.”

Season 2 of Is It Cake? just dropped a week ago.
All eight episodes of Season 2 of Is It Cake? dropped into the Netflix streaming library a little over a week ago (on June 30th). With relatively short episodes, fans of the series have had more than enough time to binge through all eight episodes (even if they only watched one episode a day). So, it is understandable that so many subscribers want to know if Is It Cake? will return for Season 3.
Will Netflix renew Is It Cake? for Season 3?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has NOT officially renewed the series for Season 3. That, however, doesn’t mean fans of the series should give up hope as it quickly ranked as Netflix’s #2 show in the United States when it debuted last year. Bridgerton Season 2 snagged the #1 slot in the United States.
The casting site NetflixReality.com lists casting for Is It Cake? as “ongoing” which is extremely promising regarding the potential of Season 3. Likewise, fans have no reason to believe Mikey Day wouldn’t be on board to return for a third season of the series. As far as the judging panel goes, Netflix seems to pull from Netflix Original casts and Netflix comedians. Moreover, every episode has a fresh panel. And, most celebrities are more than thrilled to come on the show and eat a bunch of cake.

To date, Is It Cake? has not officially been canceled or renewed by Netflix. But, subscribers have no reason to be concerned the series will get canceled considering how well it performed and how popular it remains.
