‘New Amsterdam:’ Tyler Labine Hospitalized For 3 Days
New Amsterdam alum Tyler Labine spent three days in the hospital after writing off a potentially fatal condition as nothing more than a stomach ache. Turns out, the actor later learned his stomach ache was actually a potentially fatal blood clot as he spent the next three days in the hospital receiving treatment for it. Fortunately, things have turned around for the 45-year-old actor and he’s currently recovering at home with the support of his loved ones.

New Amsterdam: Tyler Labine Hospitalized For 3 Days
Tyler Labine uploaded a video to his Instagram a few days ago detailing an experience that landed him in the hospital for three days. The actor explained that he went to sleep thinking he had a stomach bug of some sort. He, however, woke up in pain that was so bad he made the decision to go to the hospital. Once he was at the hospital, he quickly learned it wasn’t a stomach bug. And, he could have died if he had continued to try to “sleep it off” and ignore it.

Tyler Labine penned in his Instagram caption as he explained what was going on: “And then sometimes your tummy ache turns out to be a potentially fatal blood clot in your intestines and liver and you have to spend the next 3 days in the hospital trying not to die.”
He proceeded to reassure his followers he was “alright” and slowly recovering.
“I’m doing alright. Slow recovery but I’m here with my family supporting me and my lovely girlfriend Martha taking care of me. Im counting my blessings and just possibly reassessing what’s really important to me in this life.”
