A story making rounds with a People Magazine logo on it is claiming Simon Cowell is OUT as a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent as he hopes to explore an alternative business venture. Is Simon Cowell hanging up his hat as a judge on the NBC competition series? Is he leaving America’s Got Talent?
Naturally, the report caused an immediate buzz among fans as there are a lot of people who feel American Idol lost its spark as an entertaining show when Simon Cowell walked away from the judging table. So, unsurprisingly, there is a fear that America’s Got Talent also wouldn’t be able to survive losing him at the judging table.
America’s Got Talent: Is Simon Cowell Quitting?
According to Snopes.com — a website dedicated to separating fact from fiction — the original story claims that Simon Cowell has decided to go into business with keto weight loss gummies. Unfortunately, the original report claims the music and talent mogul just won’t have free time in his schedule to continue to move forward as a judge of AGT. So, he’s made the difficult decision to resign.
The debunking website was pretty quick to label the rumor as “false” and put the fears of fans to bed. Snopes noted it wasn’t People Magazine reporting this story. It was a website masquerading as a reputable outlet while reporting stories that simply weren’t true. Utilizing the People Magazine logo, however, the outlet was able to run with the story in a way that had people convinced it was true.
He Was Also A Death Hoax Victim Recently
As Tv Shows Ace previously reported, it was in April of this year that Simon Cowell was speculated to be dead at the age of 63. At the time, a report was making rounds on Facebook claiming the music mogul had passed away. The story was quickly debunked as nothing more than a death hoax. But, not before it made rounds on various platforms and caused fans of the talent judge to panic.
Fortunately, it now appears as if Simon Cowell was just the victim of another celebrity hoax. Fans have nothing to worry about as he is very much alive and has no plans of quitting AGT to pursue a business venture involving keto gummies.
