‘Shameless:’ Why Did Jeremy Allen White & Addison Timlin Split?
Fans of the Showtime hit series Shameless were shocked when news of Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin’s divorce broke. Struggling to separate the actor from the personality of his character from Shameless, there were whispers of rumors questioning if he had been unfaithful to Addison. Unfortunately for the actor, Addison did him no favors in squashing these rumors when she talked of single mom struggles on Mother’s Day.
Now, news of Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin’s divorce came as a shock to those who follow the couple on social media. One of the big reasons this divorce news was so much of a shock was because Addison had just praised and doted on the Shameless star a few weeks prior for his successful role in the new series The Bear.
Time has passed and the couple has begun to try to work out a custody arrangement for their two girls Ezer, four, and two-year-old Dolores. The real question, however, is simple: Why did Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin split? Has the reason for their divorce been revealed?

Speaking to Page Six, friends of the Shameless star admit Jeremy was “blindsided” when Addison made her shady Instagram post about the struggles of being a single mother. Likewise, the actor’s friends were quick to defend him against rumors while speaking to the outlet. Per his friends, Jeremy Allen White did NOT cheat on Addison. In fact, it doesn’t sound like there was anything big or wrong with the relationship.
Turns out, Jeremy Allen White’s filming schedule just put too much stress on the relationship. His wife Addison was not happy with how much she had to share her husband with the world. And, things were made harder when his filming schedule forced him to travel further away from his family.
Jeremy Allen White’s friends want people to know that he is a fabulous father. He reportedly made every effort possible to return home and spend time with his girls. Jeremy reportedly loves his girls and embraces every opportunity he has to be with them. So, it doesn’t necessarily sound like the actor’s friends understand or agree with the fracture in the relationship.
