ESPN’s Stephen A Smith Wants Pat Sajak’s Hosting Gig

Stephen A Smith, who has a huge personality in the sporting world, recently revealed he would like his name to be tossed in the hat as a possible replacement for Pat Sajak as the new host of Wheel of Fortune.

On a recent episode of The Stephen A Smith Show, the EPSN personality admitted he wouldn’t hesitate to say yes if he was offered the opportunity to replace the great Pat Sajak.

He fessed up: “I wanna throw my name in the hat.”

I ain’t trying to give up my day job. I ain’t trying to give up my podcast. But I gotta tell you, if Wheel of Fortune called to ask me to host the show for a couple of days, I wouldn’t mind hosting that show while folks try to figure out what those letters mean and what it equates to.”

Now, it didn’t sound like Stephen A Smith was willing to revamp his schedule and give up any current responsibilities to make room to be the new host. Moreover, he specifically said he would like to host the show for “a couple of days.” So, it sounds like he has his eyes on more of a temporary host or guest host situation. Or, perhaps, he is purposing the idea of a shared hosting situation similar to what happened with Jeopardy!

Right now, there are a lot of names being tossed into the hat as possible replacements for Pat Sajak. Unsurprisingly, fans of the game show have all sorts of opinions on who should step into his shoes. For now, however, it is anyone’s guess who will land in that hosting position.
