‘Jeopardy!’ Mayim Bialik Getting Squeezed Out As Host By Ken?

Is Jeopardy! co-host Mayim Bialik getting squeezed out by Ken Jennings? The two have been sharing hosting duties plus they each take turns for special competitions. Yet, Jennings has seemingly gotten more love than Bialik on many occasions. So, will he be taking over as the sole host of the show? Or, will they find a way to make Mayim work despite the backlash? Jeopardy! Mayim Bialik Getting Squeezed Out As Host By Ken?

Both Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings have shared hosting duties on Jeopardy! Clearly, no one can fill Alex Trebek’s shoes but they are both doing their best. However, Bialik seems to be facing a lot of scrutiny during her time as a host. She has gotten called out for pausing too long after a contestant answers. Then, fans struggled when they felt that she was not engaging enough with the contestants. Her responses were quick and made her sound like she was uninterested. Fortunately, Ken Jennings agreed that this was the most awkward part of the show.

Now it seems like Mayim Bialik may actually get squeezed out from being a host by Jennings. According to Newsweek, it looks like Ken Jennings is coming back sooner rather than later. Actually, he will be back sooner than he was initially scheduled to be. As aforementioned, Jennings and Bialik had been sharing hosting duties. Though the shows are pre-recorded, Bialik’s run is currently airing for the remainder of the season though fans are not loving it. Yet, Mayim actually walked off while filming the rest of Season 39 due to the writer’s strike as she felt she needed to stand with the WGA. 

Due to all of this, Ken is scheduled to be back within days. More so, a Twitter account called @IsKenHosting had this to say: “Ken Jennings will return to host brand new syndicated episodes of Jeopardy! starting Monday, July 3. He will continue hosting the daily episodes through the Season 39 finale on July 28.” Even though Mayim left on her own accord, fans seemed very happy about this news.

Fans Rejoice

Though Ken Jennings may just be taking over for Mayim Bialik because of the strike, fans are really thrilled. They wanted her to step aside for some time so this is actually a blessing in disguise. “I had to stop watching until Ken is back,” one fan tweeted. Another added: “I can start watching Jeopardy again. Yay! Can’t watch her.” There was a lot of excitement and viewers returning to the show so maybe Jeopardy! will get the hint and keep Ken with Mayim doing specials.
