Isabel Roloff has defied her husband Jacob’s orders in her latest post. The Little People, Big World family members were open about a big decision they made, and fans believe Jacob was primarily responsible for this. LPBW fans might recall hearing about Jacob’s rules about his son, Mateo’s privacy. Prior to Isabel and Jacob welcoming their son to the world, he informed fans that they wouldn’t be posting pictures of his face. So far, all of the photos they’ve shared of him have shown the back of his head or his tiny fingers and toes. They want to give him the privacy Jacob didn’t have as a child.
As LPBW fans know, Jacob was on his family’s TLC show and has since spoken out about how he feels about that today.

In an Instagram post this weekend, Isabel Roloff shared a new photo of herself and her son, Mateo. This sweet snap was taken by one of Isabel’s relatives. The young mama and her little boy took a trip to Iowa to reunite with a few family members.
In her post, Isabel reflected on the trip and the memories they made. She said, “I realized how comforting it is being around family.”
She continued, “It was soul nourishing in a way I didn’t know I needed. It’s important to be around people who value you and celebrate you for exactly who you are.”
While the sweet caption certainly caught fans’ attention, something else about the post was also notable. In the picture, Isabel was laying on the grass with her one-year-old son on her chest. His head was turned, but the side of his face was visible and so was his hair. She showed more of her son’s face than she has in the past. And it’s possible she did this against Jacob’s wishes. After all, up until this point, fans haven’t gotten a good look at any part of Mateo’s face.
