Farrah Abraham (32) shared some pictures with her 14-year-old daughter Sophia recently, and they drew strong reactions from fans.

Sophia has been with her mom on her fame journey from the start. And over the years, people have watched the young teen grow and choose her image as her mom supported her self-expression.

The newest looks have some people raising an eyebrow.

In the newest photos, Farrah Abraham and Sophia pose together at a Melanie Martinez concert.

However, it was Sophia’s looks that drew the most surprise from fans. In the photos, Sophia has gone full punk, wearing ripped black jeans, a black cropped top, and all the accessory trappings of a proper punk outfit.

Sophia’s hair is cut short and split-dyed purple and black. She’s wearing heavy eyeliner and her controversial septum and lip piercings. To top off the look, Sophie has on dark lipstick.

Farrah catches a lot of flack for letting Sophia express herself, but she seems to be happy and healthy.

It’s an edgier evolution to the look Sophia seems to have been moving toward for a while.

Farrah Has Faced Criticism For Her Parenting, But Sophia Is Thriving

Fans have flooded her recent social media posts with criticism about her parenting, but that’s nothing new for Farrah Abraham.

While she was on the shows 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom, people accused Farrah of letting her mom raise Sophia and being unfocused and selfish.

However, Farrah’s focus has always been on her child according to the reality tv star. And she supports Sophia by encouraging her to express herself freely within safe boundaries.

On social media, Farrah explained to haters, “Parent Shamers I will always have a door open for you as I was once like you,I know what I’m not for and I know teen’s need a lot of compassion right now.”

But things she doesn’t let teens do, Farrah explained, include, “Allowing them to drink ( her dad died in a fatal car accident due to underage drinking) , having sex yet doesn’t even have a bank card / or line of credit ( I didn’t know the world, my health, nor the accountability & under age sex shaming) , experiment with life killing drugs ( how many teens have we seen dead due to fentanyl) .”

The reality star went on to add, “Right now Sophia is learning well-being, self love, mental health , sex Ed, drug education, Ada compliant education before actions go beyond her learning. So she is prepared for all that life brings her way.”

Allowing Sophia to express herself has come with some controversial moves.

For instance, Farrah Abraham let Sophia have 6 new piercings to celebrate her 14th birthday. This drew immediate criticism from some fans, and praise from others.

Some said Farrah was causing “childhood trauma” and letting Sophia go down a “slippery slope.” Others praised the former teen mom for encouraging Sophia to feel confident and free to express herself under her mom’s guidance.
