‘Today Show’ Al Roker Says He’s ‘Hanging On For Dear Life’

Today Show Al Roker Says He’s “Hanging On For Dear Life”
During the PopStart segment, Al Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts came up as a topic of conversation. Carson Daly explained Al and his wife landed in the latest issue of People Magazine.
Carson continued: “You look surprised over there! You and your wife… it’s listed as 100 reasons to love America.”

Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and Craig Melvin all thought it was awesome that Al and his wife landed in the top 20.

Al Roker didn’t share in the excitement as it was clear he was just baffled by the entire thing. He even proceeded to ask his co-hosts what type of country they were living in right now that he and his wife were considered a big reason to live there.
Teasing Al, Carson Daly asked if he wanted to give some sort of speech for this incredible moment.
Al Roker said in response taking as little credit as possible: “Well, thank you, People! It’s mostly because of Deborah, I’ve really got nothing to do with that! I’m just hanging on… for dear life!”
Fans weren’t really surprised Al tried to push all the credit off on his wife. But, he was definitely selling himself short according to some of the sweet gestures his wife reveals he does for her all of the time via Instagram.
Carson Daly was clearly tickled that he managed to catch Al Roker off guard with this PopStart segment. He even jested that Al should consider getting a copy of this issue featuring him and his wife framed for his office. Some of their other co-hosts chimed in that it was a great idea they should make happen.
